Finding our Blessings in Covid-19

Hoping this blog finds everyone healthy and safe during what is hopefully the first and last of the most challenging time of our lives. Life as we knew it has drastically changed. With everyone having to stay put as much as possible, we are all trying to find things to keep us busy with days that seem to go on forever.  One option is to explore online learning while finding blessings in Covid-19 is possible. Following are some easily attainable ideas.

If you are solo, watching T.V. and reading are great ways to occupy one’s time. Or, maybe you have found some games to play online. If you are together with family, perhaps you’ve pulled out those games that rarely get used these days, such as Monopoly, Chutes and Ladders or Candyland. Or maybe you’ve pulled out those decks of cards that haven’t been seen in years.

As the unknown still lies ahead, as scary and sad as this virus is, and as hard as it is financially on many people, I can think of many blessings our current situation has afforded us. Such as the following:

  • Connect with your kids on a whole other level.
  • Zoom or Skype family reunions.
  • Meet your friends and family in an online game room.
  • Further your education with an online class.
  • Peruse home projects you never get to do.
  • Think of ways to pay it forward while helping others.
  • Say “I love you” or “I appreciate you” more often.

What blessings have you discovered? Do you feel the incredible energy field that now connects us to the entire planet? I know for me, I’ve never felt so much a part of one world as I do today.

Online Learning While Finding our Blessings in Covid-19

Many people are also turning to the internet for online learning. Now is a great time to take a course to improve your current skills or learn something entirely new. Online education is the future. With so much time on our hands, this is the perfect time to explore your online options.

Many folks are trying their hand at online Mah Jongg, and many still want to learn. It’s easy to do with the first, online live interactive School of American Mah Jongg I created and opened in January of this year. It’s easy and fun, and now you can learn while you have lots of time on your hands. PLUS, I am offering a 25% off Covid-19 special for all beginner classes, including the four-hour Beginner Intensive Course.

For those of you that know me personally, you might already know that I have just completed my 2nd book, which is a memoir. This book is so vastly different than my first book, Unlocking the Secrets of American Mah Jongg. Writing is just one part of this crazy process. I still have to get the cover done, have it proofread and formatted, not to mention published! And I have lots of time to do just that.

Before the internet, writing, as well as other business ventures, were done so differently. The same applies to education. Now, with the online programs available, the ease of doing business or taking a class is a few clicks away.

How will you be spending your time over the weeks?

I am sending a bounty of blessings to all near and far. May you stay safe and healthy!
